Electrician School

Launched in 2013, the School of Electricians seeks to stimulate employment and income generation, in addition to expanding the opportunity for a new profession for women, contributing to gender equity in careers that are mostly male.

Who can participate?

All individuals aged 18 or older, with completed elementary education and a valid National Driver's License (CNH), may apply.

Classes are taught by Senai, in the Northeast and in the Federal District; and by the Technology Support Foundation (FAT/ETEC), in São Paulo.

The content is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical, allowing a complete education for the students. 

Why participate?

At the end of the course, all trained electricians are able to be hired, joining Neoenergia as employees, where they will have the opportunity to develop a career.

The initiative was pioneering in creating classes for women in order to promote diversity and inclusion, and is recognized as a global example of one of the Women's Empowerment Principles by WeEmpower, a UN Women program with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the European Union, to encourage good business practices.

How to apply?

Vacancies are available throughout the year at the distributors Neoenergia Coelba (Bahia), Neoenergia Pernambuco (Pernambuco), Neoenergia Cosern (Rio Grande do Norte), Neoenergia Elektro (São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul) and Neoenergia Brasília (Federal District). There are currently no open applications. New vacancies will be announced soon. Stay tuned!

Upon completion of the course, all trained electricians will have the opportunity to be hired as members of the Neoenergia team, where they will have the chance to build a solid and constantly developing career.

The Neoenergia School of Electricians was recognized as a global example of “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” by the World Economic Forum for creating exclusive classes for women in Brazil.

The initiative is a reference in female inclusion in the electricity sector
and has already trained more than 1,000 women.
