Neoenergia encourages public participation in its Energy Efficiency projects through Public Hearings and Public Calls for Projects (CPPs).

  • Public Hearings: We share results, ongoing projects, and opportunities for the public to provide suggestions.
  • Public Calls for Proposals: We seek partners to develop new energy efficiency initiatives, expanding the benefits for communities, institutions, and businesses.

The organization of Public Hearings and CPPs is a requirement under Neoenergia’s concession contract and the regulations of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel).

Public Hearings

The main objective of the Public Hearing is to ensure transparency and public awareness regarding ongoing projects and to gather input for the development of new projects. At the Public Hearing, information is provided on projects currently underway, including their projected results, as well as on projects completed in the previous year and their reported results. In addition, an email address is provided for submitting requests, opinions, and suggestions​​​​.​​

Public Calls for Projects (CPPs)

​​​​​The main objective of the CPP is to make the decision-making process for selecting projects and consumers to benefit from the PEE more transparent and democratic. Through this mechanism, all interested parties may submit project proposals aimed at encouraging the development of measures that promote energy efficiency and combat electricity waste.
 

Each year, the Neoenergia Group’s distribution companies allocate 0.28% of their net operating revenue (NOR) to initiatives that promote the development and adoption of new energy-saving technologies and encourage changes in behavior toward conscious energy consumption.

Transparency and Regulation:

Law No. 9,991, dated July 24, 2000, stipulates that electric power distribution concessionaires must allocate a minimum percentage of their net operating revenue (NOR) to Energy Efficiency Programs (EEPs), in accordance with regulations issued by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).

Neoenergia’s distribution companies allocate 0.40% of their net operating revenue (NOR) annually to initiatives that promote the development and adoption of new energy-saving technologies and encourage changes in habits toward conscious energy consumption.
